Private courses run with 10-15 students to ensure optimal student to teacher ratio, maximising the student’s learning experience.
We service Nationwide. Private courses can be conducted in-house, or we utilise training spaces such as community halls to facilitate our open courses.

In order maximise the retention of knowledge, it is important that students are comfortable and have plenty of room, both sitting watching the PowerPoint, and for the practical components of the course. At any one time, half the class might be lying on the floor with the other half required to work around the ‘casualty’. The training space needs to be out of the weather with temperature control.

Other than that, access to power, a space for the projector screen and/or a blank wall, chairs for each student and the Trainer and at least one table is required. We will set up when we arrive and bring our own data-projector.

If you are unsure if your training space is suitable, please contact us as we are happy to find a location nearby to ensure the quality of the training is not compromised.

No, we do not provide meals. We have 15 minute breaks for morning and afternoon tea and a 30 minute break for lunch. We recommend bringing snacks and food to ensure you do not miss any of the course – tardiness of longer than 15 minutes may result in a ‘not achieved’ result. Tea and coffee is available for all courses.
What do I need to bring?
We supply all the training materials you will need for the day. We recommend bringing snacks/lunch, a jacket and a bottle of water. If you can bring your National Student Number (NSN) with you (for Level 1 and Level 2 First Aid), that would be great. We will also need to sight valid photo identification.
For individuals or small groups, the easiest way is to follow the ‘register now’ links within the course you are attending. For large groups or private courses, use our ‘book now’ button at the top right hand corner of the screen.
In order to prevent disruption to our other students, doors are locked 15 minutes after the scheduled course start time. After this time, you will have missed part of the course and will be unable to complete it on that day. Terms and conditions apply.
Please contact our friendly team at info@pracmednz.com and we will do our best to accommodate you.
First Aid unit standards need to be requalified every two years. There is a three month grace period to allow you to attend a refresher course (minimum 6 hours training) or a full first aid course.
No, we do not provide any child minding services. Infants and children are not permitted within the training room.

You can check the date on your certificate, or log in to your learner profile with NZQA and view/print your NZ Record of Attainment (NZROA). . It will show you the date you completed your last course.
